With fall in full swing, students are back in school, and the harvest season is well underway. Our Idaho FFA members and the Idaho FFA Foundation had a busy and rewarding summer, filled with memorable and impactful activities, and we hope your summer was equally productive and enjoyable.
Driving Success: Summer Golf Tournaments
This summer, the Foundation hosted four successful and enjoyable golf tournaments across Idaho, bringing together many friends and supporters of Idaho FFA. On behalf of the board of directors, I want to extend our sincere thanks for making time to join us and support the future of agriculture and FFA. The funds raised from these tournaments play a crucial role in supporting Foundation programs, such as offsetting travel costs for State-winning Career Development Event teams as they prepare to compete at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis this fall. By reducing the financial burden on chapters, we enable advisors to focus on coaching their teams and helping them achieve success.
Launching the 15th Annual Scholarship Raffle
As we closed out the 14th Annual Scholarship Raffle, the program wrapped up with a fantastic response — selling 6,017 tickets! Congratulations to Doug Lammle of Nampa, who won a brand new UTV! For those who want to try your hand at winning this year, now’s your chance! The 15th Annual Scholarship Raffle tickets are available through May 30, 2025. You can purchase yours through your local FFA Chapter or by visiting growidahoffa.org/scholarship-raffle/. Each $20 ticket supports over $25,000 in college scholarships annually. Half of the proceeds benefit the chapter that sold the ticket and the other half goes to the statewide scholarship program.
Support the Gift of Blue Program
Last year, the Idaho FFA Foundation provided 132 FFA jackets to deserving students across the state, thanks to the generosity of our supporters. For many, receiving their own blue jacket symbolizes pride, belonging, and a commitment to their future in agriculture. However, there are still students who need help obtaining this iconic jacket. By donating to the Gift of Blue program, you can help provide these students with a tangible connection to their FFA journey. Your contribution, big or small, ensures more Idaho FFA members can proudly wear the blue jacket. Each jacket is $125. To donate, visit growidahoffa.org/donate-today/ by November 18, 2024. Thank you for investing in the future of Idaho’s agricultural leaders.
Good luck to you all, and have a safe and enjoyable Fall season.
Thank you!
Jerry Olson
