We are excited to announce our Idaho FFA Foundation Ambassador Program blog series with highlights from some of our 2024 student Ambassadors! In this blog series, some of our Ambassadors discuss their experience in FFA, what they are currently up to in their FFA chapter, and more! Check out the below blog from our Ambassador, Alie Misenheimer!

“Last April, I was tasked with the position of our chapter’s Alumni Representative. This means that I get to work as a liaison between our Meridian FFA Alumni and our chapter members. Our annual Alumni Auction is coming up on November 4, and I am in charge of putting together a team of members to run this event! This event is a fantastic way for our alumni to earn money that they then put back into our chapter. Typically, the money earned helps fund our chapter’s trips to Washington Leadership Conference (WLC), FFA National Convention, and state competitions.

For the past few months, our members and alumni alike have been soliciting businesses to donate items for the event, and we tend to come up with a great lot of them. Our chapter officers put together an officer basket, where each of them donates “fall themed” items that can be auctioned off. I am currently working with our Chapter President and fellow Idaho FFA Foundation Ambassador, Katy Stewart, on event details. In addition, my Auction Committee has been working diligently at creating raffle items and games for the event. I am looking forward to the fun festivities of the auction and cannot wait to see how much support our community can bring in for the chapter!

Here are some photos of last year’s auction…
